Giving through a community foundation is simple, straightforward and offers individual and corporate donors the immensely satisfying experience of making a lasting difference in their local community.
Why the community needs usWe recognise that there are some very real needs and issues in our local communities that need addressing. They may be related to health or poverty, or to the challenges of growing up or growing old. Whatever and wherever they are, you can usually find one of the 3,000 charities or community projects working to help change the situation for the better.Our aim is to provide them with financial support, in the form of grants, to enable them to do what they do best-helping improve lives, in Leed
Our impact on the communitySince 2004 Leeds Community Foundation has distributed £15 million in grants to a range of community projects across Leeds. We have been able to get new groups off the ground, as well as being able to provide ongoing revenue funding to support established organisations. Our smallest grant has been £100, and our largest £1m and each one has made a difference to the lives of local peopel.
