Tombola in the rain!
Young people need a place to meet where they can relax and meet their friends and adults who will support them and help them to plan for their future, as well as an opportunity to be a part of the community. Our youngsters have been encouraged to talk to villagers in the street, become more involved in village events and to take part in activities that benefit the village, such as cleaning the war memorial, which has now become an annual event.
The young people now feel part of the village community and have experienced respect from some of the villagers and the Parish Council after their contributions to the social structure of this community. They now talk to more adults when they meet them on the streets and know that the local church is also interested in their welfare, after money was raised and given to the club to support the funding of a part time youth worker.
To consult with The Parish Council and other interested individuals in the community to determine what needs to be done to a) make the area safe in the short term and b) to fundraise in order to pay for improvements and new equipment for the playground. read more
