Why the community needs usWe are here to help older people when they need someone to turn to for support and guidance. We also feel it is vitality important to champion the voice of older people. Many older people feel ignored by society and not valued. A higher proportion of people in their 70s live alone and many do not see anyone for weeks. Many are living on an inadequate pension and suffer loneliness and isolation. We have seen a huge increase in the number of people accessing our services in the past few years.
Our impact on the communityLast year we helped over 16,000 local people, many of whom sought assistance at those points in life when the right advice and support can make a significant difference to them and their families: "I only had to tell my story once and now I receive extra money every week.
