Nottingham Central Womens Aid

You can help us to protect women and children from domestic violence and abuse. Your donations will provide temporary refuge accommodation and associated support in a crisis where a family need to escape abuse now. Families can be brought to a place of safety within hours of calling us and our team of specialist domestic abuse workers will provide emotional and practical support to the whole family. Our children's support worker will ensure children have activities, pyjamas and toys to help them through the first few days and weeks of arriving and we will make sure that the room they will share with mum is safe and comfortable.
Our support continues for many months and sometimes even years until the family have resettled in their forever home.

Why the community needs us
We are a small charity providing life-saving services to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. We provide a variety of services including temporary safe accommodation and courses to help women recover following being subjected to abuse by a intimate partner or family member.

Our impact on the community
With your support we will continue helping women and children live free from fear and to rebuild their lives. We support families to resettle safely and permanently within the community.

Volunteers needed

We need volunteers to work remotely supporting us with the management of both our website and creating content for our social media. We are also looking for women to join our management committee
