Providing sports and social opportunities for young people with learning/physical disabilities
This club is for people, aged 16+, who have learning and/or physical disabilities. We provide a range of activities throughout the year, aiming to give people a chance to try something new, and to participate in an activity outside of school or college. Whilst the emphasis is on having fun, people will also gain social skills, improve fitness, co-ordination and sports skills.
Why the community needs usOur impact on the communityWe are always pleased to hear from people interested in helping out - either with our sports sessions or on our organising committee. for the sports sessions you just need to be enthusiastic and willing to participate. you would be assisting paid sports coaches to deliver coaching sessions, assisting individual club members to join in to the best of their ability, and having fun while you do it!
