Supporting families of children and young people with special needs, disabilities and illness
Ryedale Special Families was established in 1997 as a charity and we now support over 400 families across Ryedale, a very rural part of North Yorkshire. The support we provide includes respite care, social groups for four different age groups of children and young people, family activities and family support. Family support includes information, advice and guidance, advocacy and mentoring work. Our work is family centred and all Trustees have a child with a disability or special needs.
