We give grants to local groups of young people or individuals aged 13-19. Funding can be for new projects the young people want to start or existing projects they want to develop. All of the decisions are made by and for young people.
Why the community needs usThrough the Youth Bank young people can receive funding for projects that benefit their youth group or organisation, & ultimately the community around them. Grants can also be made to support individual young people for training that will benefit other young people & their local community. The money could go towards a variety of things including building relationships between groups of young people from different ethnic communities, drug awareness projects & community safety projects.
Our impact on the communityYouth Bank enables young people to have a say about what goes on in their community. By supporting young people's involvement in the decision making processes that affect their lives we ensure that young people's voices are heard.
We are currently recruiting for young people to be part of the grant panels. These panels will also be responsible for generating funds through fundraising. Full training will be provided and as part of the panel you will get the opportunity to attend various events.
