Raising money for a Brass Academy and Bandroom Amersham Band – Registered Charity No. 1162520 On 24th October a team of band members will be running in relay around Amersham to cover a total distance of 100km. The sponsored run is to raise money for Amersham Band’s ambitious development project. This will see the creation of a Brass Academy for individual and group tuition together with the launch of several additional bands. The plans include a “Brass Roots” programme for beginners, a Youth Band and a Big Band. To support this the band will set up a teaching and rehearsal facility in the town centre. We are trying to raise a total of £300,000 through donations, fundraising, pledges and grants
