Chertsey Fat Fighters Club

PPDG is a national Welfare to Work provider, delivering the Department of Work and Pension’s Work Programme in Surrey and Sussex and other areas of the country. The target is to lower the number of people on long term JSA or ESA by supporting, training and mentoring them to find sustainable employment and improve their quality of life. As a team we decided we wanted to do some kind of fundraising and raise money for a local charity that is relevant to our clients and visions as a company. Many of our clients go through difficult stages whilst being unemployed and the Counselling Partnership are on hand to provide help and support to those people. As a group we have decided to pledge to lose weight starting on the 2nd of October and right through until the 13th of December which is when we will be celebrating Christmas with a get together. There are 10 of us taking part, and with all of our individual goals we have pledged that collectively we are going to lose 6 stone in that time period. We are also paying £1 per person each week at our weigh in to raise at least an additional £100 for the charity. All financial pledges and sponsors are greatly received.
