Katie's Henley Mile Open Water Swim

I have finally signed up to take part in the Henley Mile open water swim on 12 July (having promised to do it for the last 3 years..!). The Henley Mile is a straight line downstream River Thames swimming event, held over the Henley Royal Regatta boomed course. So, I've got my goggles and wetsuit at the ready, and am looking forward to the challenge! I am fundraising for the charity that I have recently become a trustee for: First Days Children's Charity. At First Days, we collect donated baby and toddler clothes, equipment, furniture and toys and redistribute them to families in need. First Days, which is run on a voluntary basis, has to date helped more than 600 families. We are fundraising in order that we can buy items for referred families in need that cannot be donated, such as cot mattresses. Thanks from me and from First Days for your sponsorship!!
