Messel Maker's 24 Hour Twiddlemuff Knitathon

FRIDAY 18 September at 3pm through to SATURDAY 19 September at 3pm. Following on from the success of last year's 24 Hour Knitathon, we are excited to launch the 2015 24 Hour TWIDDLEMUFF Knitathon! This year the event will take place at 2 High Street, Whitehaven and starts at 3pm Friday 18 September and finishes 3pm Saturday 19 September. We will be supporting North Cumbria University Hospitals' Twiddlemuff campaign while also supporting the Redevelopment of Rosehill. What are Twiddlemuffs? Twiddlemuffs are Knitted hand muffs with textured items attached inside and out. Researchers have found that they provide simple stimulation for people with Dementia and other memory conditions by soothing restless hands, minimizing agitation and increasing flexibility. All completed Twiddlemuffs will be donated to Kirkstone Ward for elderly care at West Cumberland Hospital , Whilst the sponsorship will support the redevelopment of Rosehill.
