Thank goodness that's over! Hi. My name is Rob Bentley and I ran in the London Marathon on 26 April to raise money for Winchester Live At Home Scheme (WLAHS) which is a charity that provides support and friendship to older people, living in their own homes in the Winchester area, to help maintain independence, improve well-being and reduce isolation. I finished the race in a time of 2 hours 42 minutes and 23 seconds in 369th place. It would be lovely to say that it was a walk in the park but it was more like a hard slog. The cool weather was a big help after I managed to mess up getting the right drinks at the right time. At about 18 miles it felt like the wheels were coming off but I managed to keep it together enough to get to the finish in the time that I had hoped for. A huge thank you to all of those people who have already donated to this fantastic cause and if anybody still feels like making a donation then it will be very gratefully received. Many thanks. Rob
Best of luck - good on Rob for supporting you and running 26 miles (and a bit!) so quickly
