Yes, that's right, you read it correctly. I will be walking 100km on September the 14th (and into 15th!) for an amazing cause. THE WALK... The walk itself is called the Thames Path Challenge. You can read all about it here: http://www.thamespathchallenge.com/ It is, in a nutshell, a non-stop 100km, which should take me, all being well, 24 hours or so to complete. THE CAUSE... Now for the important bit. The cause I am raising money for is Hometruths - http://www.hometruths.coop/ This is an independent, community-based co-operative that support victims of domestic violence and abuse. Kim and Mary, the inspirational women who set up and run Hometruths, carry out amazing work which, for example, helps victims leave abusive relationships safely, and supports children who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence. They work tirelessly in Swindon to really make a difference and literally save lives. Those of you that know me will understand that this is an issue that lies really close to my heart, so I really want to do well and raise some essential funds for this worthy cause. Every penny makes a difference to Kim and Mary, so I am looking for whatever people can give, as soon as they can give it. No matter what the amount, all donations are extremely gratefully received, even if just £1. If anyone would like to volunteer to wash my socks, rub my feet, or pop my blisters afterwards, that would also be much appreciated :-)
Good luck Gem! Neil and I often reminisce about our winter season. Hope you raise loads of money for a very important cause. Lots of love Chloe & Neil xxxxx
