Esther's Skydive

I am going to do a skydive on the 9th of August for NBA and LLL GB. Babies are born expecting to breastfeed. It is their instinct - the biological norm for both mother and infant. In Northamptonshire almost 80% of new mums initiate breastfeeding, but only 44% continue beyond 6-8 weeks. We believe all mothers should have the opportunity to fulfill a positive breastfeeding journey, however long they choose to breastfeed their babies for. Through our events and activities we aim to normalise, promote, support and protect breastfeeding county-wide. As the voice of breastfeeding mums and babies, NBA representatives will now act as committee members on local breastfeeding strategy groups; Maternity Northants and breastfeeding forums at both Northampton and Kettering General Hospitals. Fundraising, lobbying and collaboration is also high on the NBA agenda. NBA is made up largely of breastfeeding mothers who will work to support, protect, promote and normalise breastfeeding in the county – more on our mission. Our mission is to normalise, promote, support and protect breastfeeding in Northamptonshire so that families have the opportunity to fulfil a positive breastfeeding journey.
