Education, Care and Support for under-fives and their families in the Abbey area of Cambridge.
1.To advance the education of preschool children living within the designated reach of the Children's Centre through the provision of nursery and daycare, fo families who experience social, medical or economic disadvantage.2. To promote community capacity building among parents/carers through a community programme to support and encourage thr development of skills and potential.These aims are met by providing bursaries.
Why the community needs usThe Fields Children's Centre is within an area of deprivation. Many families need support extra to what is otherwise available . We aim to support the family in the most appropriate way for them. While the children receive high quality care and education which gives parents and carers reassurance, and they are enabled to receive medical treatment, advice or counselling,or attend courses to better prepare them for employment.
