Why the community needs usOpening free creative, vocational and employability skills training to the community, our target group being young people at risk of disengaging in school, 16-19 NEETs and young unemployed adults. These opportunities:
-raise skills, including creative, technical computer and software, communication, team work, presentation, health and safety, professionalism
-raise confidence, motivation, self-esteem and aspirations,
-open opportunities for further progression, further education, employment
Our impact on the community-Young people acquire a wider skills base to prepare them for life and the world of work.
-14-19 age group stay on in the school community.
-16-19 NEETs progress onto further training, education or employment.
-Unemployed young adults gain the confidence and skills boost to break the cycle of long term unemployment.
-The wider community see the benefits of less young people hanging on the streets due to boredom, and participating more in their communities as they become to feel more empowered.
