I will be running Nottingham's Half Marathon in September, and I am fundraising for The Tomorrow Project by Harmless. Harmless is a local charity that works with individuals at risk of self-harm or suicide and those whom it may affect around them. I did an online training with Harmless for suicide awareness in January that was incredibly eye-opening, and I believe it should be a program available to everyone to complete. Suicide is something that is a concern worldwide, and I want to help reduce this in any way possible, especially since the degree I am studying is currently a job that has a correlation with putting an individual at high risk of suicide.
The Tomorrow Project is a confidential suicide prevention service set up to provide both suicide crisis and bereavement support in response to the needs and concerns of our local communities.
