Working to preserve and refurbish Bakewell Town Hall for the benefit of the community
Bakewell Town and Community Trust was formed in 2006 to save the Town Hall from disposal. The Trust took over this historic venue on a forty year lease in 2009 with the aim to make it the venue of choice for a range of community activities. Community groups using the Town Hall include Red Cross, Bridge Club, and Rotary. The Town Hall hosts coffee mornings and other fund raising activities, music and drama events including the annual pantomime, exhibitions, fairs and private parties.
Why the community needs usBakewell Town and Community Trust is committed to providing a safe, accessible venue in the centre of town for all sections of the community.
Our impact on the communityMaintenance and running expenses for this venue are high. In addition to the running costs we are raising funds to help towards its refurbishment. Please help us to raise the money to keep the building safe and sound for the benefit of the community.
