Burghfield Sailability - Enabling disabled people in Berkshire to experience the freedom of sailing.
We enable people with any disability to enjoy being out on the water at Theale Lake, near Reading. Sailing sessions are organised every Thursday evening during the summer months. Specially adapted sailing dinghies allow persons with mobility issues on land to experience complete independence on water.
Why the community needs usSince Burghfield Sailing Club Sailability Group was founded we have been providing sailing experiences for 20 to 30 people each week. These include sailors with visual and hearing impairments, physical disabilities and learning difficulties.
