TramShed is an Inclusive theatre company based in Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde. We offer Performing Arts workshops to anyone irrespective of their health, social diversity, ethnic background or ability, at TramShed the focus is on ability not disability. TramShed's Mission Statement: 'To bring individuals together to create outstanding, original and beautiful theatre which inspires and celebrates everyone'.
Why the community needs usTramShed's main Theatre Company consists of a Children's Theatre 7-11 years, Youth Theatre 12-16 years and Adult Company 17+ who meet on a weekly basis. Our members take part in inclusive performing arts activities which include drama techniques, confidence building, music, dance techniques, physical theatre and much more. As a registered charity we make it our priority to include children, young people and adults who may ordinarilly find themselves excluded through no fault of their own.
Our impact on the communityTramShed write and deliver Original Musical Theatre Productions twice yearly using the TramShed Inclusive Performing Arts methods. Because the scripts and music are written around the members involved we ensure everyone is fully included. In addition to the main theatre company session we also deliver Outreach projects to various Primary/High Schools and Adult Community Groups. Covering important subjects including: Anti Bullying, Drug/Alcohol Misuse, Teenage Pregnancy & Confidence Building.
TramShed Theatre Company are currently looking for young people aged 18 years or more to join our dynamic volunteer team. The role would include: supporting our members within the workshop settings, group work within workshops and supporting members on stage and back stage during productions.
