MY TOUGH RUN 2016

I have been involved in the work of the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs (WAYC) for over five years, first as a trustee of the organisation and now as a Vice President. I have seen the impact of WAYC’s activities with some of the most vulnerable & disadvantaged young people across Warwickshire and want to do my bit to contribute. I have decided to undertake the ‘Tough Mudder’ challenge. ‘Tough Mudder’ is a team-oriented 12-mile military-style obstacle course designed to test both physical and mental strength. It takes place on Saturday 21 May 2016 (which gives me plenty of time to train!) at Belvoir Castle in Grantham. I know the course will test me (and I’m really not looking forward to being knee deep in mud and dunked in ice cold water), but WAYC has a great deal more work to do with our county’s young people – and I am happy to be putting myself through the ordeal of Tough Mudder to help them raise funds to continue their important work.
