Sharp Minds 2016

'Ere For A Laff is a team of friends taking part in one of the toughest physical challenges, the Tough Mudder. It's a 13 mile obstacle course which involves vast amounts of mud, water and more crazy stuff! Check out the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7eLlfXEYNg So why are we doing this??? We are raising money for a local youth work charity called WAYC which supports vulnerable and disadvantaged young people living in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull. WAYC also trains up youth workers and volunteers and works with local youth groups, helping them provide better services for young people. The money we raise will go towards the WAYC Sharp Minds Project which runs for young people with mental ill health and social isolation issues. These young people are amongst the most vulnerable in society and the Sharp Minds project provides an opportunity for them to meet in a safe environment with the opportunity to make new friends, try new things and benefit from the support of professional youth workers. The Sharp Minds project has proved to be an invaluable in terms of supporting young people to get themselves into a more positive emotional place and instilling a sense of hope for their future. As with so many youth work projects across the land, funding is an increasingly difficult task and more and more projects like ours rely upon the generosity of friends, family and a network of supporters to help raise the funds to continue our vital work.
