Raising funds to provide additional equipment/resources to enhance pupils' development and learning
PFA funds are used to help enhance learning and the boys' time at School. In recent years, PFA contributions have included new bike sheds, a wheelchair ramp in the sports hall, sports equipment, specialist lighting for Barton Hall, a new piano and, most recently, a School minibus. With the continued support of parents and our community, the aims for 2014-2015 include a defibrillator and much needed equipment for the Food Technology classrooms.
Why the community needs usThe PFA involves parents, carers, teachers and pupils, as well as engaging with local business, the wider community and its residents in activities undertaken. Providing additional equipment and much needed resources to enrich and enhance pupils' learning means Coombe Boys' will continue to provide an excellent choice for a local school for local boys.
Our impact on the communityA total of 815 children attend the school and our activities are wide reaching. Quiz nights, comedy nights, workshops, doughnut sales and raffles attracts and engages pupils, parents and the wider community. Recent PFA contributions have included a new piano, art display cabinets, footballs and table tennis equipment and multi-purpose Kindles.
We are always looking for volunteers. We are currently looking for people to help with maintaining our online content, organising and helping run fundraising events and general administrative duties.
