We must value and invest in our young people. They are the future guardians of our communities.
Dulverton & District Young Peoples Project (DDYPP) is a voluntary youth work organisation and registered charity supporting young people aged 9-19.
DDYPP serves the geographical areas of Dulverton and Southern Exmoor, and aims to improve conditions of life for rurally disadvantaged young people in those areas.
Why the community needs usOur aim is to raise aspirations and to equip rurally isolated young people with the necessary life skills to 'barrier bust' in order to gain access to learning opportunities that will enable them to make more informed choices in their lives. We encourage active engagement and participation in a wide range of positive activities, and offer an ongoing commitment to provide support to our young people in order to give them every chance of achieving their full potential.
Our impact on the communityDDYPP pride themselves on being able to form and maintain strong, positive relationships with the young people they have contact with. We offer a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment, along with a range of informal learning opportunities to encourage those young people to grow and develop strong moral and social responsibilities, leading to well rounded young adults who can make positive contributions to their communities.
