As our village hall, Eyam Mechanics Institute provides a centre for all ages in the community to come together for activities ranging from ballet to bingo, the Village Show, coffee mornings and other fundraisers. It hosts shows, dinner dances and the ever-popular Panto. Our clubroom provides a welcoming meeting place for the many village interest groups or for just a quiet chat with friends. It hosts regular sporting and musical events from darts and snooker to folk nights and play readings.
Why the community needs usOur impact on the communityRunning and maintenance expenses for this lovely old building are generally high and fundraising is essential to its survival. Following on the success of our roof appeal,we are now looking to our next big project - refurbishment of the club room. This will include new toilets, new curtains, improved lighting, repair work as necessary and redecoration. Please help us raise the money we need to make these improvements for the benefit of our community and for its future generations.
