The RICOH ARENA COMMUNITY Space...the community venue where...
The vision for The Ricoh Arena Community Space is to provide a first class multi-use facility of a comparable standard to the rest of the Ricoh Arena as a lasting community benefit from one of the largest mixed use regeneration projects undertaken in Coventry in recent years. We develop, operate and maintain the facility for use by local and city wide community groups and inhabitants for meetings and activities, to develop projects and promote opportunities for learning, education and training.
Why the community needs usAffordable provision of these facilities allows equality of access for all, enabling community groups, organisations & individuals to develop & hold their own events, collaborate in partnership events, and benefit from training, learning & community involvement opportunities which might otherwise not be able to take place. It assists the development of new community groups & projects, helping to increase provision of activities, understanding & cohesion within & between Coventry's communities.
Our impact on the communityThe Ricoh Arena Community Space is a warm, friendly, welcoming facility used by varied local groups and organisations for their meetings and activities, and by charities and voluntary organisations for charity programme launches, training, workshops and celebration events. We work both independently and with partners from all sectors to improve the quality of life for communities both locally and across the city of Coventry, sharing skills, time and resources to make a positive difference.
Volunteers are often needed to help with serving of refreshments at events. It is helpful if you have a current Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (it may be possible to arrange training if required for suitable applicants).
Other interesting opportunities arise from time to time including helping with event organisation, venue preparation, general operation and administration duties.
