Over the last 12 months I have been working hard to bring my product to market and build up my contacts list of potential clients.|Business Idea: My business Idea is a commercial tool capable of carrying multiple sanitary disposal units by hand. Improving efficiency of the worker whose job it is to exchange and install used sanitary units for clean ones.|The idea came about when my older brother worked for a washroom service provider and his boss told him if he could collect more units and clear more sites he would get a bonus, so he took some units home and my dad used his carpentry skills to make the first wooden prototype which brother used, it meant that he could collect double the amount of units in the same amount of him, as he was paid on commission he became one of the highest paid earners within 2-3 months of using the product.|I have produced a 3D working prototype and also had my patient granted. My target is to raise £5,000 this will allow me to develop my manufacturing files which are needed so we can go into production and can then start taking orders for clients who have shown interest in placing orders.|I will also spend the money on developing marketing material.|In the last year I have also attended The Peter Jones National Enterprise Academy and I was also a finalist for the Peter Jones National Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2014.|Recently I was also shortlisted for The Edge Challenge 2014 to pitch to a panel of Judges on the 3rd of November 2014.|This product will be of a great benefit to washroom service companies as it will decrease collection time by 100%. There are 13.55 Million Women currently in employment in the UK. According to the office and building regulations of 1997 their needs to be 5 toilets for every 76 – 100 employees, with one Sanitary Disposal Unit provided in each cubicle.|Meaning that 677,450 sanitary units will need exchanging each week in the workplace alone, this figure excludes public toilets in places such as School.
